Bruce and Carol Knowles have an extensive background in playing and teaching stringed instruments. Bruce is the conductor of his city's civic symphony and a high school orchestra. His city orchestra recently won the American String Teachers Association's, "Grand Champion" award at the International ASTA Conference. They were also twice selected to be one of eight orchestras to perform at the Midwest Clinic in Chicago, IL.
Carol has taught violin for over 27 years, both privately and in the public elementary and middle school systems. She is currently serving as Concert Master for a symphony orchestra.
Kenny has been a professional fiddle player for many years, appearing on stages worldwide. He was featured on the Roy Clark Show for 8 years and has appeared on Hee-Haw and the Grand Ole Opry many times. We invited Kenny to play the top 20 Scott Cao violins and give a fiddler's perspective.
Miriam is an accomplished violinist, with many years of experience teaching privately and performing on stage in a variety of musical genres. Although primarily a classical violinist, Miriam currently performs with a rock band and needs an instrument that will not only cut through a crowded band mix, but also be versatile enough to support the other styles of music she enjoys.
